March 30--Charming critters
Expect a few smiles at Easter breakfast when these tiny stoneware egg cups show up holding soft-boiled or brightly colored hard-cooked eggs. A set of four Animal Egg Cups from West Elm features abstract images of a rabbit, duck, chicken and sheep. Each of the white-glazed cups is about 1 1/4-inches in diameter. The set: $24. Available at some stores (call to check) and online at westelm.com.
Perfect pick for Passover
Add a spark to meals with sardines, especially the Season Skinless Boneless in Hot Sauce Sardines from Manischewitz. Kosher for Passover, the plump fish, bathed in a gently spiced tomato-based sauce, get their heat from vinegar and hot sauce. The 4.25-ounce can: $2.99. At supermarkets nationwide. manischewitz.com
Campbell's goes organic
Campbell's iconic red-and-white label got canned for the soupmaker's six new organic soups. They're packaged in green-accented recyclable cartons. Creamy Butternut Squash, Lentil, Garden Vegetable with Herbs and Sun-Ripened Tomato Basil (all vegetarian/gluten free) plus Chicken Tortilla (gluten free) and Chicken Noodle. They're heat and eat (no water needed). We liked the slightly-sweet-spiced lentil. Well-flavored broth and nice-size meat chunks were a chicken noodle plus. A 17-ounce carton: $3.29. At supermarkets nationwide. campbellsoup.com
