Christmas may feel like months away yet, but the reality is it's just around the corner - which means it's time to start preparing.
Like your annual leave, for instance, which, if timed right, could bag you an extra seven days off.
That's thanks to a clever little hack that could bag you extra time off - if you get ahead of the rotas early.
The two popular options are either 12 days or 16 days depending on how much time you want off work.
By using public holidays on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day, you can maximise the length of continual holiday this year.
But how?
To get a 12-day Christmas break using just five days' leave, you'll need to book the following dates off: 23rd, 24th, 27th, 30th and 31st December.

Providing you only work weekdays, this will mean you're off from December 21 to January 2.
Or, for a 16-day Christmas stretch, you can book seven days off instead.
To do this, you'll need to request 23rd, 24th, 27th, 30th, 31st, 2nd and 3rd off as leave.
You'll then get the period between December 21 and January 5, off.
“We are seeing loads of staff cashing in holiday entitlement to maximise their Christmas breaks this year, and it’s definitely going to impact business," Jonathan Ratcliffe from Offices.co.uk said.
"Not only that with the General Election on the 12th December, we are expecting an unnerving December."
