Holiday company launches half-board holidays to Portugal for £99

WeekenderBreaks are offering holidaymakers the chance to bag a bargain break in Portugal's Algarve.

The offer has been made available today through the deals website Wowcher in anticipation of the official announcement on the UK's list of safe travel destinations.

Portugal is currently being tipped as one of the few destinations to start off in the 'green' category alongside Gibraltar, Israel, and Malta. Other popular destinations like France, Spain, Greece, and Italy are likely to start off as 'amber'.

The success of Portugal, mixed in with the growing desperation among some quarters for a much-needed getaway, has led to a surge in bookings, according to reports.

Wowcher's deal is designed to take away any potential stress, with all bookings ATOL protected and travel insurance companies recommending all-inclusive deals in the event a refund is required.

To further entice customers, 20% has been shaved off the normal, bottom-end price of £123.75.

This means that from £99 you can secure yourself a stay of between two and seven nights, including breakfast, with flights from Manchester, Bristol, Edinburgh, as well as London Gatwick, Stansted, and Luton Airports.

Trips start from August 1 and run through until the end of December 2022.
