'Holding and Chambers partnership' - Arsenal fans delighted with injury update

Arsenal have confirmed that Rob Holding is back fit to return to first-team action after nearly 12 months out.

The centre-back has been sidelined since December with an anterior cruciate ligament injury sustained in the 2-2 draw against Manchester United.

Holding has been playing for the under-23s in recent weeks as he steps up his recovery.

The Gunners have now confirmed that he is back in full training with the first-team squad ahead of Sunday's match against Watford.

Holding had become one of head coach Unai Emery's first choice centre-backs prior to the injury against the Red Devils, and with David Luiz now at the club there is plenty more competition for places.

While the Hornets clash on Sunday is likely to come around too quickly for Holding, Gunners fans are delighted to hear the positive news.

Here is the best of the reaction from Arsenal fans on social media.

And Holding is not the only injury boost for the Gunners, with the quartet of Kieran Tierney, Konstantinos Mavropanos and Hector Bellerin all nearing a return from injury.

An update on the club's official website stated that all four would return to first team training this month.
