Holchem expands Pilsworth site

Holchem, the Bury-based specialist in hygiene technology solutions, is expanding its facilities to accommodate a growth in its workforce and its client onsite training courses.

The company has been based in Pilsworth for three years and has seen a steady growth in its client base across its core business of providing bespoke hygiene and cleaning packages to its customers.

The company surpassed its production records three times during 2015 and as such, it has expanded its workforce to meet the increased demand for its products.

It now employs over 225 people across the Holchem Group with a wide range of roles to meet customer demands and the continuing growth.

Holchem’s team of experts also deliver an extensive range of on and off site training programmes for its clients in the UK and around the world in the brewing, food service, food processing, dairy, hospitality, engineering and retail sectors.

It hosts up to three training sessions a week, and is looking to increase this throughout the second half of 2016 into 2017.

Simon Bell, managing director of Holchem, said: “The expansion in our facilities is a reflection of the strength of the Holchem business and the growth across all our client sectors.

"We are delighted that the workforce has increased and we are making a positive contribution to the local economy. The onsite training facilities are a great success and we are increasing the number of courses available to meet the expanding demand from the UK and abroad.”
