Hogwarts Legacy: How to find every Demiguise statue

If you’ve been playing Hogwarts Legacy for a while, you have probably noticed some golden statues holding a blue orb. You can find these all over the open world, and they seem like you cannot damage them with spells. These are Demiguise statues, and there is a way to collect them.

Once you get a quest from Hogwarts’ caretaker Gladwin Moon, he’ll ask you to hunt them down. These will level up your Alohomora spell, so it’s a quest well worth undertaking. Here’s everything you need to know about Demiguise statues, and how to collect Demiguise Moons.

Find Demiguise Moons at nighttime

The trick to removing the Demiguise Moon from the statues is to wait until nighttime. There is a way that you can change the time of day, so don’t worry about waiting around until it goes dark. You will know if it’s currently nighttime as the statues will begin to glow.

Use Alohomora

Some Demiguise statues are available in the open, such as the one you can find in the Divination room. However, the majority of these are hidden behind locked doors, which means you will need Alohomora. You should have learned this spell in the same quest that teaches you about the moons. As you level up, you can open more doors, and find more statues to level up again. You will reach level two after you find nine moons.

Look inside houses

The vast majority of Demiguise statues and moons are found outside of Hogwarts Castle. This means they are either in Hogsmeade or in the small villages you can find around the highlands. Most of these houses will be locked when no one is home, but of course, you have Alohomora. When you find these towns, keep looking in every house, as one usually has a statue inside. In Hogsmeade, quite a number of the locked houses have moons inside, so feel free to ransack them.

There is no punishment for breaking into someone’s house, so feel free to break into as many homes as you need. You won’t be caught or surprised, so steal to your heart’s content.
