Hogwarts Legacy: Fantastic beasts and where to find them

One of the biggest parts of the Harry Potter world is all the fantastical beasts that are part of the story. There are plenty of these in Hogwarts Legacy, and you can even rescue and breed them in the Room of Requirement.

If you want to know all the beasts that are in Hogwarts Legacy and where you can find them, read on to find out more.

Hogwarts Legacy: North Ford Bog beasts

The most interesting beast in North Ford Bog is the Thestral den. These ghostly horses can only be found in two different areas with this being one of them. Nifflers are also not all that common, so this is a good area to find.

  • 2x Giant Purple Toad
  • Thestral
  • Niffler

Hogwarts Legacy: Forbidden Forest beasts

As you might expect, the Forbidden Forest is full of beasts for you to find. It is the only place you can find Unicorns, and has a lot of other interesting beasts such as Hippogriffs.

  • Mooncalf
  • Giant Purple Toad
  • Hippogriff
  • Unicorn
  • Puffskein

Hogwarts Legacy: Hogsmeade Valley beasts

Only one den here, and as Puffskeins are available in a number of locations, it’s not the best place to go hunting.

  • Puffskein

Hogwarts Legacy: North Hogwarts Region beasts

Nifflers are one of the most common beasts in the game, so if you’re going for variety you can probably skip this one, too.

  • Niffler

Hogwarts Legacy: South Hogwarts Region beasts

Mooncalfs are not as common as Purple Toads, but both of these beasts can be found elsewhere.

  • Giant Purple Toad
  • Mooncalf

Hogwarts Legacy: Hogwarts Valley beasts

None of the beasts in Hogwarts Valley are that uncommon, but there is a variety you can find here. It’s not a bad spot to go if you want to round up missing beasts.

  • Puffskein
  • Diricawl
  • Kneazle
  • Niffler
  • Fwooper

Hogwarts Legacy: South Sea Bog beasts

This is another area with only a few common beasts that you can skip on your beast hunt.

  • Kneazle
  • Giant Purple Toad

Hogwarts Legacy: Feldcroft Region beasts

There are only three locations where you can find Jobberknolls, and with the variety of beasts on offer here, it could be worth paying Feldcroft a visit.

  • Jobberknoll
  • Niffler
  • Mooncalf
  • Fwooper
  • Hippogriff

Hogwarts Legacy: Poidsear Coast beasts

This is one of the few places you can find Hippogriffs making it an interesting place to hunt. There are also a number of other beasts on the Poidsear Coast that are good to pick up, making this a worthwhile trip.

  • Mooncalf
  • Hippogriff
  • Diricawl
  • Niffler
  • Fwooper

Hogwarts Legacy: Marunweem Lake beasts

This is the only other location you can find Thestrals outside of North Ford Bog. If you missed them there, you’ll probably want to try Marunweem Lake.

  • Diricawl
  • Jobberknoll
  • Giant Purple Toad
  • Thestral
  • Kneazle

Hogwarts Legacy: Manor Cape beasts

There are more Hippogriffs here, if you haven’t picked one up already.

  • Hippogriff
  • Niffler
  • Jobberknoll

Hogwarts Legacy: Clagmar Coast beasts

This is the only place you can find Graphorns, meaning it is an essential location for beast hunters. Everything else is fairly common, but it’s worth a visit for this beast.

  • Graphorn
  • Diricawl
  • Puffskein
  • Kneazle
  • Giant Purple Toad
  • Fwooper

Hogwarts Legacy: Cragcroftshire beasts

Kneazles are one of the more common beasts in Hogwarts Legacy so you can give this one a miss.

  • Kneazle
