Hogmanay 'stabbing' horror on Glasgow street as man rushed to hospital and another arrested

A man was discovered seriously injured in Glasgow on Hogmanay sparking a police investigation.

Locals in the area report that the victim suffered stab wounds.

The casualty was found on Tormusk Road in Castlemilk at around 7.30pm last night before being rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

He is being treated for serious but not life-threatening injuries.

A 33-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.

Police have now launched a probe into the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.30pm on Thursday, 31 December, 2020, police were called after a man was found seriously injured on Tormusk Road, Castlemilk, Glasgow.

"He was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

"A 33-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.”
