Hoffenheim send classy message to Reiss Nelson ahead of summer return to Arsenal

Reiss Nelson's loan spell at Hoffenheim officially comes to an end on Saturday with the Bundesliga season drawing to a conclusion.

The 19-year-old joined the German side on loan last August and he has made a big impression during his time away from the Gunners.

Making an instant impact with a goal on his debut in the 2-1 defeat against Fortuna Dusseldorf, Nelson has netted a further six times in his spell in Germany.

Hoffenheim, who are currently eight in the table but can finish in sixth if results go their way, bring the curtain down on the 2018/19 campaign with a trip to Mainz, with Nelson starting on the bench for Julian Nagelsmann's side.

Ahead of the game the German club sent a brilliant message on Twitter to the player prior to his final appearance for Die Kraichgauer.

"Thank you, Reiss Nelson," they tweeted.

"You've been fun to watch. Take good care. We wish you all the best at Arsenal."

The winger has been tipped to have a bright future in north London and fans will be hoping that he can force his way into Unai Emery's plans come August.

Emile Smith Rowe is another player that has spent the season on loan in the Bundeslgia, although injury has restricted him to only two appearances for RB Leipzig prior to the final game of the season..
