It's official: Hoda Kotb's return to the "Today" show from maternity leave is right around the corner.
The broadcaster will be back on the NBC morning show on Sept. 3, she announced in a video that aired on Tuesday's episode of "Today."
"I'm not going to lie, this probably has been the best summer of my entire life with these two kids," Kobt said during the short clip. "I've loved every second of it. But you know what else I'm going to love? Coming back to you guys."
Kotb, 55, has been on maternity leave since April after she and longtime boyfriend Joel Schiffman, 61, adopted their second child, daughter Hope Catherine. They adopted their eldest kid, 2-year-old daughter Haley Joy, in 2017.
The "Today" host also expressed how grateful she is to be able to take a lengthy maternity leave and stressed the importance of women using their allotted time when possible in an interview with People.
"We all need to pay (our) bills and have insurance ... we can't take all the time we want. I get it," Kotb told the magazine. "But I feel like if you can, and if you're at a point where you feel like you can do it, you should do it. I'm sure every woman wants to do it and can't. But if more women are taking the allotted time, then other women aren't going to look at them funny."
Tuesday's announcement came a day after fellow "Today" star Dylan Dreyer teased that Kotb had some big news coming.
"Make sure you tune in tomorrow because we have a very special message from Hoda and here's just a hint: We're looking forward to seeing her around studio 1A very soon," Dreyer said on Monday's show.
