Hockey fans blamed Justin Bieber and his ‘curse’ for Maple Leafs’ Game 7 loss

The Toronto Maple Leafs were eliminated from the NHL Playoffs on Tuesday night as they lost Game 7 to the Bruins in Boston, 5-1.

They got off to a rough start in the first period when goalie Frederik Andersen gave up a really soft goal.

But instead of blaming Andersen or the rest of the team, fans had fun blaming Leafs fan Justin Bieber, who was seen at the game. Bieber has a curse very similar to the “Drake Curse,” which “cost” them in Game 4.

Basically teams that have received the Biebs’ support haven’t always had a lot of luck. My colleague Charles Curtis did a great job of investigating the curse back in 2017.
