Moises Henriques has pushed the Sydney Sixers to 9-144 against the Hobart Hurricanes in the Big Bash League after his side's top order fell to pieces.
The Sixers were 5-39 in the ninth over after being sent in at University of Tasmania Stadium in Launceston before the skipper turned the tide with 73 from 48 balls.
Henriques, who whacked an unbeaten 76 in the Sixers' record-breaking 152-run win over the Stars on Sunday, shared a crucial 62-run partnership with Tom Curran (27 from 21 balls).
He clawed back momentum for the Sixers as the Hurricanes turned to their part-timers in the middle overs, but fell in the final over to Nathan Ellis (2-34).
Quick Tom Rogers (3-28) finished with Hobart's best figures, including two wickets in the sixth over as the visitors lost 4-6 in the space of 14 deliveries.
Ellis started the rot when he bowled in-form Josh Philippe (five) with a slower ball in the fourth over.
English import James Vince (13) joined him in the sheds when he was stumped off the first delivery from part-time slow bowler Tim David.

Rogers then got rid of Daniel Hughes (three) and Jordan Silk (zero) cheaply.
Hobart have handed BBL debuts to rookie Englishmen Jordan Cox and Tom Lammonby, who have been plying their trade in Sydney grade cricket.
The pair are replacement players for countrymen Jordan Thompson and Harry Brook who are both unavailable.
Thompson did not travel with the team and has remained in NSW as a precaution after being declared a close contact of a COVID-19 case, while Brook is on England A duties.
Thompson has tested negative and is expected to be on deck for Hobart's next match.
The Hurricanes are also missing speedster Riley Meredith (hamstring) and batter Ben McDermott (groin) to injury, while quick Scott Boland is representing Australia A.
The Sixers have included off-spinner Ben Manenti at the expense of paceman Sean Abbott, who recently became a first-time parent.
