A Liverpool hoarder revealed she found a baby rat asleep in her bed as she went to sleep one evening.
Pensioner Joyce appeared on Channel 5 show Hoarder Homes and explained that her mum had been a hoarder and she had followed on the family tradition.
When her husband Norman died 20 years ago her hoarding got out of control, making it hard for her to move around her home.
Speaking about her hopes ahead of the hoard being cleared Joyce said: "It's a complete mess, it needs sorting out, I want to start afresh, I hope I don't ever do it again."
Professional house clearer Joe Kidd was left shocked by what he and the team found in Joyce's home.
Joe said: "It's not safe, there's too much stuff in here, it's not the biggest job I've ever done, but it's one of the dirtiest because of the rats. "

Speaking about her rat problem Joyce said: "One time when I was going to bed I looked at my pillow and thought what's that, I just went like that and it was a baby rat sleeping on the pillow, I couldn't sleep in that bed, I had to sleep in the chair.
"You can hear rustle, rustle, rustle and it's really getting to me."
The team were forced to call in a pest control specialist Andy to get rid of the rats.
Andy looked for the entry point for the rats and made the grim discovery that they were coming into the house from the roof.
Andy and his team laid traps and found that rats had been hiding in the cabinet right next to where Joyce was sitting.
Joyce started to cry and thanked Andy for his help as she said: "I am a physical wreck, they were up in my beds last night ripping up the sheets.
"Thank you for doing this for me, I don't like thinking my house is dirty."
The team eventually cleared Joyce's home and made it look "boss" again.
As she saw her revamped house Joyce said: "This is great, I'm made up, made up with it."
