Ho, ho, ho - a piece of vintage McKay

I'm often amused at Peter McKay's bon mots in his Daily Mail column, whether under his own name or that of Ephraim Hardcastle.

But I had a laugh-out-loud moment this morning at the pay-off to this item:

Transport union boss Bob Crow is pictured on the Caribbean isle of Aruba taking it easy after arranging two disruptive rail strikes to make our lives more miserable.

An unlovely figure at the best of times, he is shown in beachwear, picking his nose thoughtfully. There's never a Somalian pirate ship when you need one, is there?

I can picture the wide smile on McKay's face as he wrote that.
