HM the Queen treated for fever

MONARCHY: Her Majesty the Queen has been admitted to Chulalongkorn Hospital for treatment after developing a fever, the Royal Household Bureau said.

The Queen was advised by doctors to enter the hospital on Tuesday after developing a fever from a bladder infection, it said.

Queen Sirikit was last admitted to Chulalongkorn Hospital in August last year with influenza. By late August, she had made a full recovery and was well enough to return to Chitralada Palace.

On August 30, the bureau announced that Her Majesty's health had returned to normal. An X-ray of Her Majesty's lungs proved satisfactory and a blood test showed her in good health, according to the bureau.
