Hit the North Festival 2020 reveals more bands joining festival line-up

Hit the North Festival has added a second wave of bands to its line-up.

Hit the North has added indie mainstays The Amazons, Brighton punk trio Dream Wife, West London risers BLOXX and cult garage rockers The Wytches to the line-up.

They join , and many more.

Hit the North Festival on Sunday, May 3 offers the chance to watch top bands and rising stars in intimate live venues throughout Newcastle.

A ticket gains entry to every venue and gig. Sam Fender, Metronomy, Shame, Jake Bugg and Circa Waves are all among the names who have performed at Hit the North in previous years.

Heading up the second announcement, Reading's The Amazons have quickly gained major popularity in the UK, and will be showcasing material from their second album ‘Future Dust’.

Hit The North Director Steve Davis said: "It feels great to be back! In a region where continuous cuts are being made to cultural projects, Hit The North is a vital platform for connecting emerging acts with new music fans, and also showcases Newcastle’s richness as a musical city in terms of its venues and home-grown artists."

Brighton punk trio Dream Wife will be bringing their riotous live show to the festival, whilst anthemic Londoners BLOXX will showcase their growing catalogue and The Wytches will bring a touch of lpsychedelic garage rock.

Continuing its tradition of introducing emerging acts from across the UK, Hit The North 2020 will also play host to newcomers including Chappaqua Wrestling, Do Nothing, Grace Carter, SPINN, The Mysterines and The Wha, offering a prime opportunity to make their mark in the region. Stage line-ups and venues will be announced.
