A hit-and-run driver ploughed into a pensioner and left him sprawled on the floor with no memory of the smash, the victim's son says.
CCTV footage shows Allan Rafferty, 70, crossing a street when a car comes round a corner and slams into him at speed, sending him hurtling over the bonnet.
In the video, Mr Rafferty lay against the kerb as the car takes off from the scene in Smallthorne in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. A neighbour came to his aid and helped him up moments later.
When he woke up in hospital with bruises all over and a broken thumb, he had no memory of being hit by a car or how he got there, StokeonTrentLive reports.

A few days later, he remembered being hit by a car as he walked home from a shop at about 10.20pm on January 16.
It turned out the incident was captured by the shop's camera and his son, Peter Shufflebotham, and police have shared the CCTV footage in a bid to find the driver and the car, believed to be a silver or white Vauxhall Corsa.
Mr Shufflebotham, a lorry driver from Hanley, said: "My dad went to the shop and as he was walking home this car came round the corner at way more than 30mph and hit him.
"You could see my dad bounce off the kerb.

"It's only a two-minute walk from where he lives.
"At the time my dad had earache and he's going a little but deaf so he wouldn't have heard the car.
"The first he knew was when he woke up in the hospital. A neighbour had spotted him and called 999.
"I got a phone call in the morning to say he was in A&E overnight.
"I took my mum up there to see him. He was very badly bruised and had a fractured thumb.
"To be honest it could have been a lot worse - he could have died. He was discharged from hospital the next day."
Mr Shufflebotham added: "He told me that he must have fallen as he couldn't remember what had happened.
"We didn't think to take any photos as at that stage we just thought he had fallen.

"But his memory came back to him a few days later and he went to look at the CCTV.
"It left him feel physically sick. He said he never wanted to watch it again.
"He's not been himself since it happened. His hip is hurting and he keeps getting headaches and is having nightmares. I think he might have damage to his head."
Staffordshire Police have launched an investigation, said Mr Shufflebotham.

He added: "We just can't understand how someone could hit an elderly man and not stop.
"We want to catch the person who did this. It's a hit-and-run at the end of the day. They have to be found."
A police spokesperson said: "Officers have released CCTV footage of a non-stop road traffic collision and are appealing for the public's help to identify the driver.
"At 10.20pm on Thursday 16 January, a 70-year-old man was involved in a collision with a car turning into Brownley Road from Community Drive in Smallthorne, Stoke-on-Trent.
"The vehicle, believed to be a silver Vauxhall, failed to stop.
"The pedestrian suffered bruising and a broken thumb and was taken to hospital for further treatment.
