A historic stable in South Dublin has been transformed into a brand new housing development.

The Stables at the Rise in Mount Merrion is a new boutique development that features 10 homes and seven of them are located within the original stables.

Included within the development are two and three bedroom homes, and the stable block is a listed building that has been adapted to reduce energy costs.

Each home ranges in size between 117 sqm/ 1264 sqft and 181 sqm/ 1947 sqft.

Parking for two cars within the courtyard gardens will be provided for each home and a separate bike store will be built.

Beverly Ensor, Development Manager with Savills Ireland said: “The Stables is the perfect blend of old and new and should appeal to anyone looking for a private, low density development in an established Dublin suburb packed with characterful period features and tasteful, contemporary design."
