A historic Scots hotel has been bulldozed just days after a horror blaze ripped through the 200-year-old building.
Police believe the fire at the former Old Mill Inn in Maryculter, Aberdeenshire, was started deliberately on Monday afternoon.
Fire crews raced to the scene as four appliances were sent to deal with the building that was well alight.

It is understood the former pub is about 200 years old and has previously been reported as one of Aberdeenshire's “historic” buildings.
Today, the bulldozers arrived as the once popular hotel was reduced to a pile of rubble.

The demolished venue was bought by the Sang Family and Michael French in 1989 and was ran as a popular hotel, nightclub and wedding venue for nearly three decades.
In 2015 the Old Mill Inn was flooded for a second time and following a “dispute with the insurers” the owners were left with no cash to keep the business going.

The property, which has been empty for more than five years, was described as “beyond refurbishment and repair” in a planning application submitted in 2019.
The co-owner of the Old Mill Inn hotel has described the fire that tore through the premises as “another sad chapter” for the site.
A joint enquiry with Police Scotland and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service is ongoing, but cops told the Record that the fire is believed to have been started deliberately and their probe into the blaze is ongoing.
