It is described by listing agent Craig Rosevear as "very New York" with its expansive floorplan, open-plan spaces and direct lift access.
And it's in the heart of Newcastle's CBD.

This five-bedroom whole-floor property at 1/67 Hunter Street, Newcastle hit the market on November 4 priced with a guide of $2.2 million.
"It's a tough one to price as there hasn't really been anything sold like it in a very long time," Mr Rosevear said.
"It is truly unique. We are getting interest around the low twos [$2 million]."
The apartment is one of five in the building and the residences rarely go on the market, according to the agent.

"This is very rare," he said.
"You don't get any more CBD than this. It's right across the road from the former Newcastle Post Office and you can walk to the shops, the harbour, or the beach in around five minutes."
Positioned on the first floor of 'The Chambers', the building itself is steeped in history.

The Chambers operated as offices for The Commercial Bank of Australia Ltd between 1910 and 1958, and later as suites for various professionals including an accountant, insurance broker, solicitor and renowned Newcastle architect Brian Suters' Suters Architects.

A refurbishment of the building in 2000 by Suters Architects transformed each level into five whole-floor apartments.

The apartment has a northerly aspect and large-scale windows with views of the heritage-listed Newcastle Post Office and The Lock Up.

Other features include timber flooring, high 3.5m ceilings, ducted air conditioning and custom-made cabinetry.

The residence has 325 square metres of internal space and a flexible floorplan offering a large open-plan living and dining area, a spacious granite-topped kitchen with an island bench, up to five bedrooms or extra living areas and a home office space.
There are three bathrooms and a decked courtyard fringed by palms which is accessed off the laundry.

"It feels very New York," he said. "The lift opens right into the entry lobby of the apartment and it's quite expansive."
The sale also includes two car parking spaces.
Mr Rosevear said that apartment sales in Newcastle have attracted strong interest from out-of-area buyers, while local downsizers are typically on the hunt for large apartments such as this one.
"There are Sydney buyers, of course, but interestingly I've been getting plenty of enquiry from Melbourne and also regional NSW," he said.
"Local buyers are downsizing, typically from rather large homes. We have had buyers from Newcastle East and The Hill interested in this one."
The apartment is open for inspection on November 12 at 9am.
