Historic inn with 'unforgettable views' of picturesque loch up for sale

A BOUTIQUE inn nestled on the banks of a picturesque loch, which offers guests an “unforgettable escape,” has gone up for sale.

The Inn at Loch Tummel, near Pitlochry in Perthshire, has been described as a “perfect blend of rustic charm” and modern comfort has gone up for sale for offers over £525,000.

Originally built in the early 1800s as a coaching inn, the six-bedroom hotel has been modernised, but the building's historic character has been “carefully preserved”.

The property features six refurbished en-suite bedrooms, each with its own “distinctive design,” along with a bar and restaurant, which is known locally for serving traditional Scottish dishes.

There is also an outdoor terrace, which is described as the “perfect spot” to take in the stunning views across Loch Tummel.

In addition to guest accommodation, the property includes a two-bedroom owner’s flat and two staff caravans.

Graham and Sibbald has been entrusted with the sale of The Inn at Loch Tummel, with the firm’s director of the Hotel + Leisure department, Peter Seymour, saying what makes the inn “truly special” is its setting.

Located near Pitlochry, guests are able to enjoy the town’s boutique shops, restaurants, and the renowned Pitlochry Festival Theatre.

Seymour added: “Both inside and out, the inn exudes character.

“The exterior is immaculately maintained, with a welcoming entrance that immediately sets the tone. Inside, rustic elements are thoughtfully paired with contemporary finishes to create an atmosphere of relaxed sophistication.

“The current owners have invested great care into every detail, ensuring that each guest room offers comfort, elegance, and a true sense of place.”

“The attention to detail in its refurbishment ensures its appeal to a broad market, offering both stability and future growth potential.”
