A historic building opened its doors to the public on Saturday.
People were given the chance to have a look around Buittle Castle by owners, cousins Tobias Parker and James Cavendish.
Visitors were able to take a tour of the existing tower house, which now features a tea room and also offers bed and breakfast accommodation.
As well as enjoying some refreshments, people were also able to look around the grounds – including the small chapel – and the ruins as well as finding out what is planned at the castle over the coming year.

That includes a Burns Supper this Saturday featuring entertainment from Scottish Opera emerging artists Glen Cunningham and Toby Hession.
There will also be a three-course meal in the Great Hall with guests encouraged to dress in Scottish attire.
Due to licensing rules, alcohol will not be on sale but guests can “bring a wee nip or two” if they wish.
Buittle is an appropriate setting for a Burns supper as it is believed the Bard dined there and wrote a birthday epistle to then Baron John Maxwell.

Tickets cost £45 and can be obtained by emailing manager@buittlecastle.co.uk or calling 07494059450.
As well as being one of the owners of Buittle Castle, James is also the Orthodox Bishop of Whithorn for the Diocese of the British Isles.
The diocese has recently taken on Greyfriar’s Church in Dumfries and rededicated it as the Cathedral Church of Our Lady and Saint Ninian.
