A quirky concept pop-up café aimed at people investigating their family tree is set to open in Liverpool city centre.
Findmypast is trialling 20 pop-up venues across the UK known as 'Findmypasty', with Sir Thomas Street set to host Liverpool's.
The café will welcome experienced family tree researchers and novices who want to look into their ancestry using touchscreens, with millions of Liverpool records and historic newspapers available, along with free Wi-Fi and power points for customers who want to bring along their own devices.

To fuel the investigations, hot drinks will be available, as well as a range of traditional pasties.
Existing members of Findmypast will be eligible for a 10% discount and dogs will be welcome.
Mary McKee, head of content publishing operations at Findmypast, said: "This is an exciting new venture for Findmypast and we can’t wait to see if this trial will be a success.
"The Findmypasty pop-up shops will give even more people the chance to discover their ancestors’ stories to help shape their future.
"We’ve chosen this area of Liverpool for its rich and colourful history, and we hope those surroundings will inspire people to delve into our records."
The pop-ups will be opening in May for a three month trial.
