HISAR: Hisar police on Monday arrested seven men who allegedly abducted three people, including driver of the CMD of Hisar-based Future Maker Life Care Global Marketing Limited Company (chit-fund), and later released them.

One accused is still on the run and a police team is the on lookout for them.

Telangana police had arrested Radheshyam, and his partner Surender Singh, and sealed its office in Red Square Market of the city on September 7, 2018, for allegedly duping thousands of persons across India of Rs 1,200 crore in the name of a chit-fund scheme.

Police said on Monday evening, Surender, a resident of Landhari village, gave a complaint that his brother-in-law Mahender, a resident of Siswala village in Hisar, phoned him that he and his two brothers had been abducted and abductors were demanding Rs 50 lakh.

DIG Balwan Singh Rana, who is working as Hisar superintendent of police, constituted a team under DSP Abhimanyu Lohan. The team first arrested Sandeep, a resident of Samain Puthi, temporarily residing at Sector 13 in Hisar. After this, team arrested Baljeet, a resident of Siswala village; Mohit, a resident of Mundhal; Sonu, a resident of Lakhimpur of Uttar Pradesh; and Sonu, Chota Sandeep and Sohan Lal from an old house in Azad Nagar and rescued the three abducted men — Mahender, Mithu and Vinod.

However, Surender alias Sindar, a resident of Bighar, has not been arrested yet, police said.

The accused told the police that they thought the driver of the CMD would have money, so they abducted him. DIG Rana said the accused were being interrogated.
