First came Rio Ferdinand, mild mannered footballer, quickly followed by Rio Ferdinand, TV prankster and abuser of Chris Moyles. Now we have Rio Ferdinand media mogul. The Manchester United and England footballer has teamed up with Brighton-based publisher Made Up Media to launch Rio, a digital magazine. Ferdinand will act as editor-in-chief. "The magazine aims to give a snapshot of the world that Rio inhabits and will be a reflection of his interests. Feature content will include celebrity interviews – we have interviewed 50 Cent and Mickey Rourke for the first issue," said Iestyn George, former GQ and NME journalist and Made Up Media co-founder. What's next for Rio? Putting a bid in for the London Evening Standard?
