'His identity will not be a surprise' - Angus Kinnear outs 'serial culprit' behind interview prank

Angus Kinnear has revealed that Gjanni Alioski's typical misadventures were to blame for Liam Cooper's abrupt pre-match interview ahead of Leeds United's clash with Hull City last week.

The North Macedonia international was discovered to be responsible for his captain's curtailed interview with Sky Sports, before he helped secure three points with a vital goal.

Writing in the pre-match programme ahead of Saturday's 3-3 draw with Cardiff City, Kinnear opened up on the incident, revealing that Alioski was to blame - but that his strike proved to more than make up for his miscreant actions.

"Viewers of Sky Sports on Tuesday night will have been bemused to see Tim Thornton's pre-match interview with skipper Liam Cooper cut so abruptly (as was the studio anchor).

"The "technical fault" was quickly diagnosed as the deliberate removal of the camera lead and the identity of the serial culprit will not be a surprise to anybody (although he later made amends with his second goal in two games).

Alioski  previously weighed in on his Gjanni Cam antics , stating that he didn't necessarily plan out his pranks.

"I’m not thinking what I do," he stated. "It sometimes comes from my head.

"I’m someone that [likes] to be in a good mood, to joke, I know when to be serious when you go in the dressing room.

"So [I] never forget to smile and always stay in a good mood even if I am not always!"
