It's often said that it takes time for overseas players to find their feet in the Premier League.
The first season can be a learning one, with the form of new arrivals improving in the second year after they become accustomed to the new league and especially the physicality and style of English football.
That's not been the case with Leeds United's Brazilian magician Raphinha, who has been an outstanding addition to the Whites squad this season.
The 24-year-old wide man has impressed everyone, not least his own team-mates with his level of performance and his ability.
It's a fact reinforced by Luke Ayling, who has lifted the lid on what it's like to training alongside and play against Raphinha at training each day.
While having a cheeky dig at the physical stature of his team-mate, Ayling can't hide his admiration for the South American.
“I’ve tried loads of times [to get the ball off Raphinha]. You think you’ve got it, then it just goes through your legs,” Ayling said.
“You look at him and there’s nothing to him. His calves are like my forearm, there is nothing to them. HIs upper body is nothing. He rolls into you and worms away from you. Serious player.”
