Hired Lamborghini involved in crash after 'losing control' on the M1

A Lamborghini - which was a hire car - was involved in a crash on the M1 last night.

Derbyshire police received reports of a sports car driving anti-socially in Derby yesterday evening, reports DerbyshireLive.

Officers later received a call about a crash involving a Lambo on a busy stretch of the M1.

It is not known if the two incidents are connected.

Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit claim the vehicle "lost control in the rain" in poor weather conditions.

The car is also believed to be a hire car, according to officers.

In a tweet, Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit said: "M1. Report earlier in the night of a Lamborghini driving anti-socially in Derby city centre.

"Later...this one loses control in the rain. Hire car - that’s the deposit well and truly lost. #DriveToArrive."
