Hipster café and bar to open luxury Leeds city centre venue

A New York style bar and café serving bizarre flavour combinations and bold cocktails is heading to Leeds city centre later this month.

Feed, an award-winning venue which opened in Pudsey last year, serves up all kinds of strange treats, from cheeseburger spring rolls to doughnuts stuffed with confit duck.

However, it doesn't seem to have put the people of Leeds off, with the success of the Pudsey branch sparking the opening of the new Feed on New Briggate.

It will move into the space currently occupied by Dough in the City. The owners of Feed also manage Vice and Virtue, the fine dining restaurant situated directly above.

Award-winning chef and restaurateur Luke Downing, who runs Feed alongside Laura MacLeod, said: "We have more than doubled the amount of beers on offer, and a new menu being finalised that includes iced teas and late night food. Products we’ve not unleashed on the public yet.

"We’re wanting to give the city centre an alternative place to relax or party, with our all day New York, edgy style, without the starch formality sometimes associated with good food and drink."

Feed is set to open on Friday, August 30.
