Driver critical following crash on Hindmarsh Drive

One person is in a critical condition and police are investigating after a car crashed into a tree in Woden.

The crash occurred about 6.20am on Saturday morning. One person was in the vehicle and was taken to hospital in a critical condition.

Emergency services were on the scene at Hindmarsh Drive near the Melrose Drive intersection at Lyons for hours. The three westbound lanes were closed, and the road was reopened on Saturday afternoon.

Anyone who witnessed the crash, or who has dash-cam footage from the area at the time is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
