CHENNAI: Himanshu Rana’s unbeaten 138 took India Pistons to 220 for 2 before rain halted play in their TNCA first division clash against Globe Trotters here on Sunday.
Himanshu’s 200-ball innings contained 11 boundaries and a six. Himanshu and Guru Raghavendran (47 batting) were in the midst of an unbroken third wicket partnership of 143 runs from 223 balls when play was called off.
In another match, Bhargav Merai's unbeaten 102 was instrumental in Grand Slam scoring 252 for 5 against Nelson. Apart from Bhargav, Adithya Ganesh shone with 51.
Wilkins Victor’s 101 from 183 balls helped Young Stars end their opening day on 254-8 against MCC. Apart from Victor, Vignesh Iyer contributed with a patient 72 from 154 deliveries. The two put on a 140-run stand for the fifth wicket.
