Himachal Pradesh: Congress government to review last 6 months decision of BJP govt

SHIMLA: On the very first day of attending the office, Himachal Pradesh chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has made it clear that he is a hard task master and would act tough against the previous BJP regime led by Jai Ram Thakur.

Sukhu has decided to review all the decisions taken by Jai Ram Thakur led government in last 6 months of its tenure. He has also directed to maintain status quo on transfers which are not implemented. Directions have been issued to review all the decisions taken since April this year onwards by previous BJP regime.

Based on directions issued by Sukhu, the chief secretary R D Dhiman has issued directions to all the administrative secretaries to review the previous decisions and instructions thereof. He said that chief minister has directed to take immediate steps in this regard.

As per the directions, now all the extensions or re-employment given during previous regime would be terminated, except for Government Medical Colleges. All the institutions, for which notifications for creation or upgradation have been issued, would be de-notified and thereafter administrative department will put up such fresh proposals which are justified for the consideration of Cabinet.

Directions have also been issued to terminate the appointments of chairman, vice-chairman of different boards, corporations, cooperative institutions and other committees including temple committees and urban local bodies.

All recruitment process underway in departments, boards, corporations autonomous bodies of the state government including public universities, except those being undertaken through Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission and HP Subordinate Service Selection Board, has been directed to be kept at abeyance, but this order will not apply to the recruitments being made for medical colleges and other institutions of health department.
