Himachal Pradesh: CM should show his horoscope to good pundit, says opposition leader Mukesh Agnihotri

SHIMLA: As the assembly elections are just two months away in Himachal Pradesh, war of words between Congress and BJP is intensifying with the passing of every single day.

Leader of Opposition Mukesh Agnihotri on Monday countered chief minister Jai Ram Thakur's statement in which he had advised the Congress leaders to show their horoscopes. Agnihotri said that instead of worrying about the opposition, chief minister should show his horoscope to a good pundit as his days in power are over now.

Mukesh Agnihotri said that stars of Congress are changing for good and after the election, Congress will form a stable government in the state. He said that bureaucracy has caught the tents of Jai Ram Thakur government which is about to crumble badly.

He reminded Jai Ram Thakur that BJP despite being in power had lost the by-elections of Mandi parliamentary seat along with Fatehpur, Jubbal-Kotkhai and Arki assembly seats last year. He said that even now there is no change in the situation and BJP is sure to lose badly in the assembly elections.

He also alleged that BJP government is misusing the government funds. He said that BJP rallies are being held from the government treasury in the name of Amrit Mahotsav. He said that more than Rs 50 lakh are being spent on one rally and government buses are being used to bring people. He said that BJP flags are being put up on the buses and rally venues.

He said that 75 rallies are being organized across the state in which Anganwadi and Asha workers are being brought. He said that there is a debt of Rs 70,000 crores on the state while BJP government is misusing the public money.

He termed Jai Ram Thakur as the “hoarding wala chief minister” and said that Jai Ram government has not been able to do any development work, but hoardings are being put up and publicity is being done at every chowk in the state. He also advised the officers to work within their limits.
