Himachal Pradesh CM is playing vote politics with employees: State Congress president Pratibha Singh

SHIMLA: Himachal Congress president Pratibha Singh has accused the chief minister Jai Ram Thakur of doing injustice to the employees by playing vote politics with them.

She said that the chief minister has not been able to fulfil his August 15 announcements of paying due arrears to the employees and it is clear from this that he is misleading the employees by doing politics with them, which is very sad. She said that employees should be given their entitlements immediately.

Pratibha Singh, in a statement issued on Tuesday, took a jibe at the state Government and said that the chief minister appears helpless in implementing his decisions. She said that the appointment of the chairman and three members in the HP Public Service Commission recently and postponement of its oath ceremony after full preparations at the last moment shows the weak functioning of the Jai Ram Thakur government.

She has asked the government to give complete information to the people of state about these appointments and the reasons for the postponement of this oath ceremony. She said that Congress is moving ahead strongly in the state.

She said that due to heavy rains in the state, while there is heavy loss of life and property, families are losing their loved ones in painful accidents, BJP leaders including the Chief Minister on the other hand are busy in their election meetings. She said that the havoc caused by heavy rains this time in the state is very disturbing.

Expressing concern over the condition of apple orchards, Pratibha Singh said that the apple economy worth five thousand crores is going through a very pathetic situation in the state. She said that government's neglect towards apple orchardists has broken their back. She said that the horticulturists are worrying about their crops due to the closure of road especially the link roads. They are facing a lot of difficulties in transporting the crops to the market. They are not getting any help from the government and administration which is a matter of great concern, he added.
