SHIMLA: The winter session of Himachal Pradesh assembly at Dharamshala to be held from December 22 to 24 has been postponed as the chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has been tested positive for Covid-19.
New dates for the session would be announced later. The CM tested positive for the virus at New Delhi on Monday.
Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu was scheduled to call on Prime Minister Narendra Modi at New Delhi on Monday, which has been postponed. He is asymptomatic and as a precautionary measure has quarantined himself.
Sukhu’s Principal Advisor (Media) Naresh Chauhan said that all programmes of the chief minister scheduled from December 21st to 24th have been postponed.
Naresh Chauhan said that "Aabhar Rally" slated to be organized at Dharamasala on December 21 has been postponed.
He said that similarly the winter session from December 22 to 24 to be held at Dharamsala has also been postponed. He said that next dates for these events would be finalized soon.
The chief minister was to return to Shimla on Monday itself, but that program has also been postponed.
