SOLAN: As many as 15 tourists in a cable car got stuck in timber trail situated in Parwanoo area of Solan district in Himachal Pradesh on Monday afternoon due to some technical issues in the cable car. A trolley was deployed to rescue the stranded tourists and all people have been rescued.
"A total of 15 persons were stranded in two cable cars. Four people in the uphill trolley and 11 in the downhill trolley," said Onkar Chand Sharma, principal secretary, disaster management, Himachal Pradesh.
Various videos and photos of the stranded people surfaced on the social media recorded by the passerby are also going viral. In one of the videos, stranded tourists were seen shouting for help.
The officials from administration, fire department and the police department have reached the spot.
