Hilton Garden Inn has started the construction of its first ever hotel in Wales.
The world famous brand is building the 106 bedroom hotel next to the surfing lagoon at Adventure Parc Snowdonia in the Conwy Valley.
It is part of a £16m investment in the Dolgarrog site - that includes a new indoor adrenaline activity centre - backed by a Welsh Government grant.
The hotel is due to open in 2020 while the activity zone will launch next month. HH Smith in Manchester is the lead contractor for the build.
There will 90 jobs created at the hotel and a total of 200 based at the adventure site during peak months.
Managing director for Adventure Parc Snowdonia, Andy Ainscough, said: “Our phase two evolution is all about building on what we’ve established since we launched in 2015: a flagship adventure and lifestyle destination for Wales, the UK and beyond.
"Hilton Garden Inn will only add to the quality of our visitor experience, we’re delighted to have them on board.”

Surf Snowdonia - later rebranded Adventure Parc Snowdonia - opened at the former aluminium works back in 2015 and has since attracted over 500,000 visitors since it opened in 2015. They hope to bring in 200,000 visitors over the next 12 months.
