Hilton and Lyft announce new partnership

Hilton and Lyft have partnered up to allow rideshare users to earn Hilton Honors points when they take a Lyft in the U.S. and Canada.

After linking their Hilton Honors and Lyft accounts, riders will earn three Hilton Honors points for every $1 they spend on economy, luxury and extra seat Lyft rides. Hilton Honors Points will be deposited in Hilton Honors accounts after each ride.

Later this year, Hilton Honors members will be able to redeem their Hilton Honors Points for Lyft credits.

Mark Weinstein, senior vice president and global head of customer engagement, loyalty and partnerships at Hilton, said, "We know ridesharing is important to our members and extends beyond getting to and from our hotels to a function they rely on nearly every day. It's easy to see how the missions of Hilton Honors and Lyft came together so nicely."

"That intense focus on creating a better customer experience, prioritizing and pioneering innovation in travel and committing to leaving the world a better place than we found it by reducing our impact on the environment and increasing our commitment to our communities," he added.

Lyft's Chief Business Officer David Baga added, "For more than two decades, Hilton's renowned Honors program has created an unparalleled hospitality experience for their guests. Today, we look forward to building on the program through our partnership, enabling travelers to make the most of every trip."
