Universal healthcare can't come soon enough for Hillary Clinton's campaign staff. Politico is reporting that one of the bills that her campaign is having trouble paying is $292,000 in health insurance premiums for her staff.
A spokesman says the campaign provides healthcare to all of its employees as well as their spouses and their children. It might be a bit of accounting backlog, but the irony of a healthcare advocate being behind in providing health insurance to staff hasn't been lost on bloggers.
The Weekly Standard had a good laugh over the news, with Kevin Kusinitz saying:
No wonder Democrats want the government to cover health care. They don't want to do it themselves.
