Hillary Clinton's Southbank Centre book launch: How to get tickets as former presidential nominee comes to London

Hillary Clinton will appear on stage at the Southbank Centre later this year.

The former presidential nominee will be joined by her daughter Chelsea Clinton as they launch their new book as part of the venue’s Autumn Literature programme.

The Book of Gutsy Women: Favourite Stories of Courage and Resilience will “mark the histories that have all too often been overlooked or left unwritten”, featuring Civil War surgeons, suffragettes, modern day activists and more.

Speaking ahead of the event, Hillary Clinton said: “Each of these women has fought and won the kinds of victories that pave the way for progress for all of us. To us, they are all gutsy women — leaders with the courage to stand up to the status quo, ask hard questions, and get the job done.

“This book is a continuation of a conversation Chelsea and I have been having since she was a little girl, and we are excited to welcome others into that conversation.”

The event, which is set to take place on November 10, will be the first time the former secretary of state has appeared at the Southbank Centre since 2017.

This time, she will be joined on stage by writer, broadcaster and academic Mary Beard.

More than 2,700 tickets will be available for the event, with 300 of them being given free to Lambeth State Secondary Schools and Southbank Centre’s Youth Partners.

Tickets will go on sale to Southbank Centre Members on Thursday October 3, with general sale commencing on Friday October 4. Tickets will be limited to four per customer and available to buy here.
