Hillal Soudani set to seal Nottingham Forest exit

Algerian striker Hillal Soudani is poised to complete a move to Greek giants Olympiacos.

The Nottingham Forest front man is expected to fly out to Greece today to agree terms on his move to the Pireas-based club, according to Sport 24 radio.

Soudani only arrived at the City Ground last summer from Dinamo Zagreb and enjoyed a bright start to life in Nottingham, scoring the winner against Reading and salvaging a point for the Reds away to Wigan.

His early season promise was disrupted by injury and his debut campaign in England came to a premature end when he suffered a knee problem in the Carabao Cup defeat to Burton Albion in late November.

Since then, the Algerian international has spent three months going through rehabilitation at the Aspire centre in Qatar, before returning home where he spent a month working on his fitness ahead of pre-season training in Nottingham.

A move to Greece would see him link up with former Forest man Andreas Bouchalakis, with the midfielder moving back to his homeland last summer after spending the 2017/18 season at the City Ground.
