A hill walker has died after plunging from a mountain in Glencoe.
Cameron Steel, 35, from Glasgow was walking on Bidean nam Bian on Saturday when tragedy struck.
Police were scrambled at around 3.35pm on Saturday along with the Glencoe Mountain Rescue team and the HM Coastguard helicopter.
Cameron and his walking partner were on the northern ridges of the mountain known as the Three Sisters.
Police said Cameron fell and died at the scene.
The helicopter crew recovered his body from the mountain.
Police Scotland said in a statement: "Our thoughts are with his family at this time.
"As with all sudden deaths, a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal."
Known for its dramatic crags, ridges and summits, Bidean nam Bian is 1,150 metres above sea level.
Andy Nelson, leader of Glencoe MRT, said: "The weather conditions were a bit slippery under foot, but nothing unusual for the time of year. Our condolences are with his friends and family."
