Hilary Duff has slammed the "disgusting" conspiracy theories about her that hit the internet this weekend.
The Lizzie McGuire actress, 32, was trending on Twitter on Saturday as a vile thread claimed she tried to traffic her own son Luca.
It had originated from now deleted tweets that claimed she had posted naked photos of the eight-year-old.
Hilary urged the person who started the rumours to "get a hobby" and "take a break from their phone" in an angry rant she shared on the site this evening.
She tweeted: "Everyone bored af right now I know.. but this is actually disgusting.
"Whoever dreamed this one up and put this garbage into the universe should take a break from their damn phone.
"Maybe get a hobby."
Hilary's fans rushed to offer her their support in the replies.
One posted: "The people saying these things about you are absolutely disgusting and pathetic."
"People are really disgusting those days," another commented.
A third said: "I hope you know that your fans love you and support you!!"
Hilary shares Luca with her ex-husband, Canadian ice hockey player Mike Comrie.
They were married from 2010 until 2016.
She has been in a relationship songwriter Matthew Koma since 2017 and they welcomed their daughter Banks the following year, before getting married in 2019.
