Hilarious video shows difference between Ryanair and Aer Lingus flight landing

A hilarious video showing the difference between an Aer Lingus and Ryanair landing has gone viral on social media.

Irish radio presenter Carl Mullan posted the comedic clip on Twitter as he mimics being on board flights from both airlines as the planes hit the tarmac.

The 14-second clip has since racked up thousands of likes - and even provoked a social media cat fight between the two popular airlines.

The first part of the video shows Carl pretending to land with Aer Lingus, with the plane hitting the tarmac so smoothly you can barely hear a bump, Dublin Live reports.

Carl is pretending to be asleep upon arrival and the landing is so soft he jokes: "Are we here? Jeez I didn't even know we landed".

Part two sees Carl having a slight dig at budget airline RyanAir.

This fake landing is much more loud and the plane smacks off the tarmac in a dramatic style as Carl roars: "Aw me f***ing back".

The viral video has now led to a playful war between the social media accounts of both Ryanair and Aer Lingus.

Aer Lingus retweeted the clip with the simple yet snide caption: "true story".

But Ryanair didn't hold back with its savage reply.

The airline posted two pictures comparing the number of Ryanair flights in operation during the pandemic compared to those of Aer Lingus.

It wrote: "Lads, what would you know about landings?"

Ouch.
