A hilarious video showing the difference between landing at an airport on a Aer Lingus and Ryanair flight has gone viral.
The 14-second long video posted by creator and radio presenter Carl Mullan has accumulated over 700,000 viewers on Twitter since it was posted on September 29.
It has been retweeted 4,000 times, liked by more than 24,000 people and accrued 557 comments as of the time of writing.
The humorous clip - which you can watch above - jokingly demonstrates what it's like to hit the tarmac at an airport with both airlines, Dublin Live reports.
A weekend presenter and regular on the airwaves for National Broadcaster RTE, Carl is known for producing his quirky sketches in his spare time and it's safe to say this one has been quite the success.
The first part of the clip shows Carl pretending to land with Aer Lingus. The video demonstrates it as being a nice, cushioned landing where you can barely hear a bump.
Carl is pretending to be asleep upon arrival and the landing is so soft he jokes: "Are we here? Jeez I didn't even know we landed."
Part two then sees Carl having a slight dig at airliner Ryanair and their not so smooth touchdowns.
His pretend Ryanair landing is much more aggressive as he simulates the plane smacking off the tarmac in dramatic style.
After being thrown around the plane Carl roars: "Aw me f***ing back".
The viral video then led to a bit of a spat between the social media accounts of both Ryanair and Aer Lingus.
Aer Lingus retweeted the clip with the simple but snide caption: "True story".
But Ryanair weren't going to take that sort of potshot lying down and instead of taking aim at the video, went straight for Aer Lingus.
They posted two pictures - one showing the number of flights in operation currently by Aer Lingus and the other, all of Ryanair's services that are still ongoing during the pandemic.
Replying to Aer Lingus with it, they said: "Lads, what would you know about landings?"
Who won that little cat fights remains to be seen, but Carl has certainly come out on top with his hilarious sketch.
