Hilarious sign claims pothole is 'new swimming pool' as fed up driver takes action

A hilarious sign has been placed by a fed up driver claiming a pothole in his local area is so deep it could be the new community swimming pool. Motorists have spotted a hilarious sign which was placed in recent weeks along the A34.

Nicknamed the 'new outdoor swimming pool', the sarcastic sign has been put up on a roadside grass verge, alerting drivers to the wide hazard, which juts out towards the centre of the dual carriageway, reports StokeonTrent Live.

The sign reads: "Warning - pothole under construction as your new local outdoor swimming pool!!!."

The pothole has formed on the southbound carriageway of the A34, near the roundabout leading to Trentham Monkey Forest, just north of Tittensor.

It is understood the pothole falls under the remit of highways authority Stoke-on-Trent City Council, which has been approached for comment.
