Footage as punters present 'favourite of the year' horse in west Dublin bookies

These were the scenes that unfolded in a west Dublin bookies as punters led the "favourite of the year" horse into the shop over the weekend.

A confident voice bursts into the small Paddy Power shop near the Jobstown Inn in Tallaght, proclaiming that he's got a horse for us all.

What the others in the shop did not expect next was for a young lad to then lead their "favourite" horse into the shop behind them.

The young foal named Grace was remarkably well-behaved as her salesman talked up her tongue-in-cheek credentials.

With a crowd listening, the punter says Grace was 20/1 but her price is falling all the time, and she's the favourite of the year - albeit in her own one-horse race.

Urging everyone to put their money on her, Grace is led out of the shop as a customer says simply: "Only in Jobstown".
