Going back to school took its toll on this five-year-old as these hilarious before and after pictures show.
Lucie, from Glasgow, was all smiles and sunshine as she set off for her first day back in the classroom.
The image shows her looking prim and proper in her school uniform without so much as a hair out of place.
But a second snap showed how a busy day in school dramatically transformed the pint-sized student's appearance.
The bedraggled youngster was looking worse for wear with her pink unicorn umbrella slung around her arm and her socks down by her ankles.
Her mum, Jillian, says she was greatly amused by her daughter's unkempt appearance.
Lucie had a ‘great day’ seeing all her friends but was very tired by her outing and went to bed earlier than usual, she said.
Jillian told the Metro : "She had her skirt round her ankles almost and a bow at the back of her hair.
"I think her clothes were too big slightly and she was pleased to see her friends."
She continued: "I did say to her, 'What did you do today?' and got usual reply all children give, 'Oh, nothing much'.
"She’s one of four. She’s the smallest and is a wee madame.
"But she is normally very shy. Except when she’s around her brothers."
