Police pull over tiny car filled full of tree branches on route to tip in hilarious Twitter post

Cops could barely be-leaf what they were seeing after pulling over a car crammed full of foliage.

Officers spotted the small white car with branches poking out of the boot, windows and strapped to the roof.

The owner was taking the chopped down greenery to the tip and stuffed the tiny hatchback full of branches.

Inspector Darren Taylor tweeted a picture of the Daihatsu Cuore after officers stopped it in Haywards Heath, West Sussex at around 1.30pm on Sunday.

He joked on social media about contacting "Special Branch" about the incident.

Making light of the situation, he tweeted: "Wood you believe it!!!!! The team stopped his vehicle earlier today whilst out on patrol, due to the slightly excess amount of chopped down foliage being carried in it to the tip.

"Did consider contacting Special Branch but the team decided to deal with it themselves."

The driver of the vehicle was given advice about how to transport the undergrowth correctly, Sussex Police said.
