Hilarious moment Leeds' Danny Malin visits first ever 'takeaway rave' - and absolutely loves it

Rate My Takeaway's Danny Malin ventured out to Halifax to try out his first ever 'takeaway rave'.

The Raving Butty Van, parked up in Halifax's Screwfix car park for the last 10 months, offers a slightly different takeaway experience.

Immediately on arriving, YouTuber Danny found the van played dance music and had flashing LED lights. He said the street art on the side of the van looked like it had been done by Banksy.

On the drive over, Danny said: "I've never been to a rave in my life, so I don't know what's going to be happening here."

After getting out his trusty table and chair, Danny found out the Raving Butty Van advertised itself as home of the 'chip butty smothered in pulled beef and gravy'.

The owners, who danced as they served him, recommended Danny order that, as well as the chicken and spicy beef wraps - each of these was £4.

While he waited, Danny made the most of the music as he danced enthusiastically with the owners and said he felt like 'DJ Danny'.

"I love it, it's something different to what I'm usually going to," he said.

"It's a burger van but they've been inventive."

Eventually, a huge chip butty full of beef and gravy arrived along with Danny's two wraps.

On trying the butty, he called it "amazing", praising the "soft bread cake, little crispy chips" and "beautiful taste" of the beef and gravy.

He compared it to both a pie filling and Sunday dinner in a bread cake.

He then tried the wraps, calling them "absolutely gorgeous" with a spicy kick and crunchy peppers.

Danny loved the Raving Butty Van, and awarded it a "solid 10", saying he didn't know which item was best.

He said: "For me, that is value for money. It's bursting full of flavour, it's fresh.

"To do something like this out of a little van - I thought I'd be coming along and getting a greasy burger but the flavours in here are absolutely spot on."
